The Surrey Slog (MABAC)Route to the STARTat the Duke of Kent School, Peaslake, Surrey.
From A3 / M25 junc. 10Turn onto A3 (west, towards Guildford) - go 1½ miles - go off at junc. then exit underpass roundabout onto B2215 to Ripley - go on for 1½ miles. Turn left onto A247 - thro West Clandon - ahead over double traffic lights - onto A25. - Climb over Newlands Corner - descend - at bottom (Silent Pool) turn Right. Go on A248 - 500 yds - turn Left (New Road), go ½ mile - turn LEFT onto Park Rd (signposted Peaslake) go on 1 mile - chicane - turn RIGHT then immediate LEFT (Hook Lane) go on for 2 miles on narrow road to PEASLAKE. Go ahead on Ewhurst Rd for 1¼ miles to DUKE of KENT School on Right. [Park where directed.] Spectatorscan enjoy a wonderful walk and view by driving back to PEASLAKE - turn right (R/H side of shop) - CLIMB on single line Radnor Rd for 1½ miles to Hurtwood car park (at summit) on left. NB This will be runners overflow parking if required - allow ½ hour to get back down to Start) |
